Lots of socks (and read alouds!) to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day! 💗

☀️ At St. Madeleine Sophie, we believe in caring for one another through every season of life. The SMS Sunshine Committee was created to share compassion, support, and Christ’s love within our school community.

When a member of our SMS family is facing a difficult time, the Sunshine Committee helps ensure they feel seen, supported, and never alone. Whether someone has experienced the loss of a loved one, is recovering from surgery, facing a serious illness, or navigating another life-altering event, we are here to help lift them up with meaningful acts of care.

If you know a member of our SMS community who could benefit from Sunshine support, please email Mshaw@stmadsophie.org and Nmiller@stmadsophie.org with enough information to help us determine the most appropriate support, while keeping the family’s privacy in mind. 💛

Today, our 4th Graders turned the lunchroom into a full-on Math Carnival, inviting Pre-K through 5th Grade students to learn through play – games, building challenges, and creative problem-solving at every station. From Lego designs to dice games and balancing structures, students explored math in hands-on, meaningful ways while earning stamps on their carnival tickets along the way.

Even more special? Our -4th Graders stepped into leadership roles, guiding younger students with patience and encouragement, while middle schoolers jumped in to support – making it a true community celebration.

This is what it looks like when learning is joyful, leadership has lived, and our mission comes to life! 🧮🤍

The class competition for parent attendance at the Gala back! The class with the highest percent of parents who purchased tickets to attend this year’s event will win a Movie & Sweats party with the one and only Mrs. Patterson! Currently first and second grade classes are in the lead, only a few weeks left to register! Registration link in bio. 🖤🤍
